Infineon Technologies XHP™ 2 & 3 IGBT Modules

Infineon Technologies XHP™ 2 and 3 IGBT Modules are designed for high-power applications, ranging from 1.7kV to 6.5kV. The Infineon modules are ideal for demanding uses like traction, CAV, and medium-voltage drives. The devices offer scalable design, top-notch reliability, and the highest power density.

Available in two housings, XHP 2 and XHP 3, both share dimensions of 140mm length, 100mm width, and 40mm height. This allows product designers to create consistent solutions across various current and voltage ratings, optimizing power converter concepts. The focus during development was on achieving flexibility and reliability, ensuring seamless integration into systems.

XHP 2
- Designed for applications ranging from 1.7kV to 3.3kV
- Three AC terminals and four DC terminals for maximizing the current-carrying capabilities
- Simple scalability of frame sizes owing to a basic modular concept
- Ready for future chip generations and fast-switching devices enabling the lowest losses

XHP 3
- Designed for applications with 3.3kV or 6.5kV
- Half-bridge switch configuration, resulting in the first half-bridge modules for 4.5kV and 6.5kV
- Modular approach and wide scalability with high current density
- Optimal arrangement of main and auxiliary terminals
- Available with 6kV and 10.4kV isolation, respectively
