Infineon Technologies TLD5542-1HIPOW_EVAL Evaluation Board is a reference design for a 4-switch synchronous buck-boost regulator based on the TLD5542-1 H-Bridge DC-DC Switching Controller. The TLD5542-1 is a single-inductor high power buck-boost controller with an SPI interface for diagnostics and control. This device integrates constant current and constant voltage regulation, limp home function, and advanced protection features for device and load.
The Infineon Technologies TLD5542-1HIPOW_EVAL Evaluation Board features a pre-installed TLD5542-1 in a PG-VQFN-48 package along with all of the support components needed to complete the circuit. The Evaluation Board demonstrates the high power capability of the TLD5542-1. The output is adjustable from 5V to 24V. The maximum output current is 25A for up to 300W power delivery without the need for a heatsink. The circuit features a 250kHz switching frequency and up to 98% efficiency. The TLD5542-1HIPOW_EVAL can be configured as a current regulator or a voltage regulator.
The TLD5542-1HIPOW_EVAL Evaluation Board is designed to be controlled by the Infineon Developer Center GUI (Graphics User Interface) via the µIO-Stick Interface Device (not included).
