Infineon Technologies TLD5542-1CHG_SHIELD Evaluation Board

Infineon Technologies TLD5542-1CHG_SHIELD Evaluation Board (TLD55421CHGSHIELDTOBO1) is a demonstration and development platform for the TLD5542-1 H-Bridge DC-DC Switching Controller. The TLD5542-1 is a single-inductor high power buck-boost controller with an SPI interface for diagnostics and control. This device integrates constant current and constant voltage regulation, limp home function, and advanced protection features for device and load. The TLD5542-1 Controller can drive multiple loads with a single IC with fast output discharge operation and provide enhanced dimming features like analog and PWM dimming. This device operates at a 4.5V to 40.0V device input supply voltage range and a 4.5V to 55.0V power stage input supply voltage range.

The Infineon Technologies TLD5542-1CHG_SHIELD Evaluation Board features a pre-installed TLD5542-1 in a PG-VQFN-48 package. The Evaluation Board features an Arduino-compatible shield form-factor, enabling it to easily be connected to an Arduino UNO Microcontroller Board.

The TLD5542-1CHG_SHIELD can be configured as a battery charger, an adjustable voltage regulator, or an LED driver. A graphical OLED 128×64 and 4 push buttons allow the user to set parameters and check the charge status.

The TLD5542-1CHG_SHIELD can be powered either by a USB-PD adapter or by a standard 12V power supply.
