Infineon Technologies MOTIX™ Embedded Power ICs deliver System-on-Chip solutions for motor control applications. The MOTIX ICs are based on an Arm® Cortex®-M integrated on a single die of the 32-bit microcontroller with features of non-volatile flash memory, analog and mixed-signal peripherals, and communication interfaces, including CAN-FD. Furthermore, the devices provide the driving stages required for relay, half-bridge, or full-bridge DC and BLDC motor applications. The Infineon MOTIX MCU optimizes user systems with a bridge driver featuring a current controlled output stage, flexible charge- and discharge current settings and several diagnostic functions.
These highly integrated devices save space and energy, improve the overall system reliability through advanced diagnosis features, and reduce the overall cost due to a minimum number of components. The MCUs perfectly fit into a range of motor control applications where a small package form factor and a minimum number of external components are essential. Such applications include window lifts, sunroofs, wipers, auxiliary pumps, HVAC fans, and engine cooling fans.
The MOTIX Embedded Power ICs (System-on-Chip) are divided into five subcategories:
• Relay Driver IC with Integrated Arm Cortex M0
• Half-Bridge Driver IC with Integrated Arm Cortex M0
• H-Bridge Driver IC with Integrated Arm Cortex M0
• H-Bridge Driver IC with Integrated Arm Cortex M3
• 3-Phase Bridge Driver IC with Integrated Arm Cortex M3
