Infineon Technologies EVAL-M1-301F Evaluation Board

Infineon Technologies EVAL-M1-301F Evaluation Board is part of the iMOTION™ Modular Application Design Kit (MADK) for drives. This MADK platform is intended for use with various power stages with different control boards. A 20-pin iMOTION™ MADK M1 or the 30-pin iMOTION™ MADK M3 interface connector can be used to interface with the control boards. The EVAL-M1-301F evaluation board is equipped with a 30-pin M3 connector and is intended for running a single motor. This evaluation board is designed to give comprehensible solutions of sensorless control of permanent magnet motors over the full speed range. It provides Hall-sensor-based or sensorless controls applying 3-phase and type 3 of 2-phase modulation.

The EVAL-M1-301F evaluation board features a control IC (IMC301A) that contains two cores including the Motion Control Engine (MCE) and an additional Microcontroller (MCU). The MCE and MCU run in parallel and independently from each other. The MCE controls the motor and MCU is used for system tasks, communication, monitoring, and data logging.
