Infineon Technologies EiceDRIVER™ Enhanced Isolated Gate Driver ICs offer protection features such as DESAT, miller clamp, soft-off for MOSFETs, IGBTs, and SiC MOSFETs. These isolated drivers are based on our Coreless Transformer (CT) technology, enabling a world class Common Mode Transient Immunity (CMTI) of 300kV/μs. The miller clamp and accurate short-circuit protection (DESAT) enables superior application safety by avoiding parasitic turn-on and short-circuit when driving CoolSiC™ SiC MOSFET and TRENCHSTOP™ IGBT7. The EiceDRIVER™isolated drivers provide driving capabilities of up to 9A, making booster solutions obsolete. These single-channel and dual-channel gate driver ICs are available as X3 analog family (1ED34xx) and X3 digital family gate driver ICs. The 1ED34xx and 1ED38xx gate driver ICs offer 9A output current and 40Vmax output voltage in a space-saving DS0-16 fine pitch wide-body package with 8mm creepage. These ICs features short-circuit clamping and active shutdown and offer the highest isolation capability for the 1500V DC solar inverter application.
The X3 analog and digital gate driver ICs are UL 1577 certified 5.7kV(RMS) VISO for 1min and VDE 0884-11 certified reinforced isolation 1767V VIORM. The EiceDRIVER™ drivers are perfect for all applications requiring a reliable short-circuit protection (DESAT), benefit from an active Miller clamp, and small PCB space requirements. Typical applications include solar string inverters, EV charging, UPS, industrial drives, CAC, welding equipment, induction heating appliances, and power supplies for server and telecommunication systems.

The X3 analog and digital are certified according to UL 1577 as VIso = 5.7kV(rms) for 1min and VDE 0884-11 (reinforced isolation) VIORM = 1767V.
2ED020I12-F2 (2ED-F2) is a dual-channel 2A isolated gate driver with DESAT functionality in a DSO-36 package.
The EiceDRIVER™ Enhanced 2ED-FI family. The 2ED020I12-FI (2ED-FI) is a 1200V, half-bridge high speed MOSFET and IGBT driver with interlock. This 2ED-FI integrates a general purpose operational amplifier (OPAMP) and general purpose comparator, which can be utilized as Over Current Protection (OCP). The high side output provides galvanic isolation. A 650V version is also available 2ED020I06-F.
The X3 Digital family (1ED38xx) offers I2C-configurability for DESAT, Soft-Off, UVLO, Miller clamp, Two Level Turn Off (TLTO), and Fault function to simplify the design of highly reliable systems. All adjustments are made from the input side via the I2C interface (pin SDA and SCL).
