Infineon Technologies AIROC™ CYW5459x Family for Linux, Android, and RTOS provides high performance and flexibility when connectivity must stand alone. With on-chip memory and networking protocols, the CYW5459x lowers risk and eases integration for cloud-connected applications. These features make the device ideal for teleconferencing, video/audio streaming, webcams, and cameras used for live feeds. Edge AI applications can also benefit from real-time data blending and extended range for improved cloud connection delivered by the CYW5459x devices.
The AIROC™ CYW54590 and CYW54591 SoCs feature advanced synchronization, network intelligence, extended range, lower BT power, industrial temp, and BLUETOOTH® 5.1 features. Both are dual-band 2×2 Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) + MIMO Bluetooth 5.0 PCIe/SDIO compliant with an advanced co-existence engine for optimal combined Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance. The RSDB found in the CYW54591 enables concurrent two streams in two bands – reducing latency that brings exceptional experience for online real-time video/audio streaming or gateway applications.
The Murata and Quectel modules, based on Infineon’s AIROC™ CYW5459x Wi-Fi and Bluetooth combo, guarantee shortened design cycles and lower regulatory certification costs.
For faster and lower cost development, globally certified modules for the AIROC™ CYW5459x are available from multiple vendors, including Murata and Quectel. These modules can help shorten design cycles and significantly lower regulatory certification costs.
The AIROC™ CYW5459x is supported by Linux and Android releases.
