GCT (Global Connector Technology) USB Connectors for Power Only/USB 2.0 Applications

GCT (Global Connector Technology) USB Connectors for Power Only and USB 2.0 Applications are available in 6- and 16-pin configurations for engineers to use the USB Type-C™ format in cost-effective product designs where pricing was previously prohibitive compared to micro-USB or DC sockets. GCT has enhanced its range of USB products with a next-generation vertical Type-C series for Power Only and USB 2.0 applications. Available in 6- and 16-pin options, GCT USB Connectors for Power Only and USB 2.0 help designers increase cost-effectiveness by selecting the exact level of functionality required for an application.

All parts feature multiple shell stakes and locating pegs, and the vertical-mount variants also offer sturdy high-temperature thermoplastic bases to deliver easy placement, excellent PCB retention, and high levels of stability during the soldering process. Shell stake length options are designed to suit various PCB thicknesses. Additionally, a selection of parts is rated to 20,000 mating cycles, and all parts with a 5A current rating are approved for 240W (48V at 5A) for USB Power Delivery (PD).
