GCT (Global Connector Technology) ionex® Charging Connectors

Global Connector Technology (GCT) ionex® Charging Connectors provide the fast charging capabilities of USB Type-C at a cost-effective price point. GCT ionex Charging Connectors are designed for applications where charging is the primary function for a USB connection, making Type-C a viable option over other USB types. The series includes top-mount, mid-mount, and vertical versions and 6 or 16 contacts. The 6-pin USB4515 is only 1.56mm above the PCB. These connectors provide up to 10,000 mating cycles and 3A or 5A current ratings. GCT offers a family of 16-position USB Type-C 2.0 SMT receptacles that provide a range of PCB offset options from 0.8mm to 2.1mm while retaining the quality, performance, and economics of existing ionex USB Type-C charging connectors. These receptacles are suitable for mobile devices, telecommunications, commercial aviation, and home appliances.
