Digilent Genesys ZU Zynq UltraScale+MPSoC Development Board, based on the Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC FPGA, is designed to provide an ideal entry point by combining cost-effectiveness with powerful multimedia and network connectivity interfaces. The Genesys ZU Development Board offers heterogeneous computing with an Arm® A-53 APU and Arm Mali™-400 MP2 GPU to go along with a substantial memory interface.
The Digilent Genesys ZU Zynq UltraScale+MPSoC Development Board is offered in two variants. The Genesys ZU-3EG features the XCZU3EG MPSoC. The Genesys ZU-5EV features the XCZU5EV MPSoC. In addition, the Genesys ZU-5EV includes faster DDR4, more FPGA fabric, a video codec, and GTH transceivers allowing HDMI Source, Sink, and 10G SFP+. Both variants support multiple multimedia and network interfaces with an excellent mix of onboard peripherals, upgrade-friendly DDR4, Mini PCIe, and microSD slots, along with multi-camera and high-speed expansion connectors designed to support a wide range of use-cases.
The Genesys ZU Development Board is primarily targeted towards Linux-based applications that facilitate access to Wi-Fi®, cellular radio (WWAN), SSD, USB SuperSpeed, and 4K video. Two different specialized ports, including Pmod and high-speed SYZYGY-compliant expansion module ports for Zmod devices, enable flexible expansion and easy access to a wide ecosystem of add-on modules, perfect for silicon evaluation and rapid prototyping.
The Genesys ZU Development Board is compatible with Digilent Zmod modules. Add-on interface boards such as these, or other SYZYGY compatible modules, are required to fully leverage the high-speed I/O capabilities of the Genesys ZU platform.
The Genesys ZU is also compatible with add-on modules that conform to the Digilent Pmod Specification.
