DFRobot FIT0772 Industrial Grade RS485 Repeater is an industrial-grade high-performance RS485 photoelectric isolation repeater that converts one-way RS485 to one-way RS485. This repeater is compatible with EIA/TIA RS485 standard and features asynchronous half-duplex, two-way communication, and complete transparent data transmission. The FIT0772 industrial grade RS485 repeater can realize RS485 signal amplification and extend bus network communication distance to up to 1200m (9600bps baud rate). This repeater supports a maximum connection of 128 nodes (the 485 devices) and the branch length between nodes is not more than 10m. The maximum bus length is not more than 1200m and the hand-in-hand bus connection mode is adopted between the nodes.
This FIT0772 industrial grade RS485 repeater is designed for industrial automation communication. This repeater features an industrial-grade superpower anti-jamming chip to intelligent discriminate circuit. This automatically senses the direction of data flow, featuring stable signal, and safe and reliable data communication. This also avoids the problem of RS485 transmission and reception conversion delay.
The FIT0772 industrial grade RS485 repeater has a built-in DC-DC voltage-stabilized source isolation module with an isolation voltage of 1500V. The optocoupler isolates RS485 master-slave network to ensure that data communication is not affected by the ground loop and common-mode voltage difference. This repeater also features a TVS transient suppression protection and self-recovery fuse current limiting protection. The power circuit is anti-reverse that can effectively cope with various environments in the industry.
The module can judge the data transmission situation by the status of the indicator light (keep on when data is not transmitted and blinking when data is transmitting). Typical applications include signal acquisition and control of industrial field equipment, industrial automation, power acquisition, security monitoring, building intercom, MODBUS, and parking lot systems.
The single repeater connection supports the point-to-point and point-to-multipoint types of connection. The point-to-point connection allows to connect with one 485 output device and extend the communication distance to 1200m. The point-to-multipoint connection allows thirty-two 485 output devices and the distance between the adjacent 485 devices can not be more than 10m. The total length of the bus is extended to 1200m.
The parallel connection supports up to sixteen 485 repeaters connected to the same 485 input device and supports a total of 128 devices at the same time.
The Cascade connection offers to connect umpteen 485 repeaters, extends the RS485 communication distance indefinitely, and supports a total of 128 devices.
