Crowd Supply WallySci E3K Bio-Sensing Platform provides an affordable, fully open-source, wireless framework for an intuitive understanding of bio-signals originated from the human heart, muscle, and brain. The E3K is designed to get anyone working with bio-signal acquisition right out-of-the-box, while also allowing for complete customization.
The Crowd Supply WallySci E3K Bio-Sensing Platform features a modular design, enabling complete customization. The platform consists of the following modules:
Users can use the modules they need, in the configuration they need them, or they can add their own modules.
The Data Communication and Processing Unit (DCPU) of the E3K Platform utilizes the Espressif Systems ESP32-WROOM-32D, which is a compact but powerful dual-core microcontroller integrated with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, making it ideal for IoT and related projects. The board is packed with 10 GPIO, 6 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs, and supports various communication protocols, including SPI, I2C, and UART. The board also includes a USB to Serial converter, which allows it to be easily programmed and communicate with a computer. In addition to USB, it can be powered through a lithium-polymer (LiPo) battery, making it portable. User push buttons and LEDs are also provided for feedback.
The E3K Graphic User Interface (GUI) allows users to configure each channel and collect data without requiring any coding. For advanced users, the E3K can be programmed either by using Arduino IDE or Espressif IDF. Arduino libraries and Python APIs allow the E3K Platform to be integrated into custom projects.
