Broadcom AFBR-S4N44P164M 4×4 NUV-MT Photo Multiplier Array

The Broadcom/Avago AFBR-S4N44P164M 4×4 NUV-MT Silicon Photo Multiplier (SiPM) Array features encapsulation that achieves excellent mechanical stability and robustness. A clear epoxy mold compound embraces these features, allowing high transparency down to UV wavelengths. This results in a broad response in the visible light spectrum with high sensitivity toward the blue and near UV region of the light spectrum.

The AFBR-S4N44P164M 4×4 NUV-MT SiPM is established on the NUV-MT technology. NUV-MT technology combines improved photodetection efficiency (PDE) with decreased dark count rate and reduced crosstalk compared to the NUV-HD technology. The pitch of the SiPMs is 4mm in both directions. Tiling multiple AFBR-S4N44P164M arrays cover larger areas with a pitch of 16mm without almost any edge losses.

The Broadcom/Avago AFBR-S4N44P164M 4×4 NUV-MT Photo Multiplier Array is ideal for detecting low-level pulsed light sources. Detection includes Cherenkov or scintillation light from the most common organic (plastic) and inorganic scintillator materials (LSO, LYSO, BGO, NaI, CsI, BaF, LaBr3). Additionally, the AFBR-S4N44P164M is lead-free and compliant with RoHS.
