Boréas Technologies BOS1921 Piezo Haptic Drivers are single-chip piezo actuator drivers with energy recovery based on patented CapDrive™ technology. This technology can drive actuators with waveforms up to 190Vpk-pk while operating from a 3V to 5.5V supply voltage range. The BOS1921 haptic drivers feature high-resolution piezo sensing capabilities that automatically initiate haptic feedback when specific detection criteria are satisfied. These haptic drivers achieve low-distortion waveforms and quiet actuator operations, with all settings adjustable through the digital front end. The data and configuration parameters are easily communicated to the Peizo haptic drivers through the two-wire MIPI I3C interface. This MIPI I3C is also backward compatible with I²C for easy integration in most systems. Typical applications for these BOS1921 Piezo haptic drivers include mobile phones and tablets, portable computers, keyboards and mice, game controllers, wearables, and electronic cooling.
