Analog Devices MAX17701EVKITAE Evaluation Kit evaluates the MAX17701 with a proven design. The MAX17701 is a high-efficiency, high-voltage, Himalaya synchronous step-down DC-DC supercapacitor charger controller. Analog Devices MAX17701EVKITAE evaluation kit offers constant current (CC) mode and constant voltage (CV) modes to charge supercapacitors. The MAX17701EVKITAE kit is intended to supply 20A CC mode current (ICHGMAX) and 5V CV mode voltage (VOUT) from a 7.1V to 60V input supply. The kit features up to a continuous 10A load connected in parallel to supercapacitors at the output. The device is optimized for 24V nominal input voltage application. The switching frequency of the kit is set at 350kHz (fSW) for optimum efficiency and component size. The EV kit provides a safety timer (TMR) to set the maximum allowed constant current (CC) mode charging time.
