Analog Devices Inc. MAX17640 Step-Down DC-DC Converters are high-efficiency, high-voltage, Himalaya synchronous DC-DC converters with integrated MOSFETs operating over a wide input-voltage range of 4.5V to 60V. The ADI converters support up to 400mA and generate output voltages from 0.9V to 0.89 x VIN; MAX17640A fixed at 3.3V, MAX17640B fixed at 5.0V, and MAX17640C is adjustable.
ADI MAX17640 Step-Down DC-DC Converters employ a peak-current-mode control architecture with a MODE pin that can be used to operate the device in pulse-width modulation (PWM) or pulse-frequency modulation (PFM) control schemes. To reduce input inrush current, the MAX17640 offers an internal soft-start. The device also incorporates an EN/UVLO pin that allows the user to turn on the part at the desired input voltage level. An open-drain RESET pin can be used for output voltage monitoring.
The MAX17640 has a wide -40°C to +125°C ambient operating temperature range and is available in a compact, 8-pin, 2mm x 2mm TDFN package.
