Analog Devices Inc. LTM4660 Hybrid Step-Down μModule® Bus Converter

Analog Devices Inc. LTM4660 Hybrid Step-Down μModule® Bus Converter offers a complete 300W output switching mode hybrid-topology step-down DC/DC µModule® (micromodule) non-isolated bus converter solution. The LTM4660 features an exposed power inductor on top of the package. This inductor creates an intrinsic path for heat to dissipate up and out of the module, away from the printed circuit board. The LTM4660 converter incorporates a switching controller IC, power MOSFETs, and supporting components. A few configuration passives, flying (charge-pump) capacitors, and bulk input/output bypass capacitors are required.

The ADI LTM4660 Hybrid Step-Down μModule Bus Converter provides frequency synchronization, Burst Mode® operation, and output voltage soft-start and tracking. Furthermore, an onboard temperature diode is included for temperature monitoring. Protection features available are short-circuit, overcurrent, and overtemperature faults. Multiple LTM4660 modules can be easily paralleled for higher power applications.

The LTM4660 is housed in a 16mm x 16mm x 10.34mm BGA package with RoHS compliant terminal finish.
