Analog Devices Inc. LTC3311 Demonstration Boards

Analog Devices Inc. LTC3311 Demonstration Boards are demonstration and development platforms for the LTC3311 Synchronous Step-Down Silent Switcher® devices. The LTC3311 Silent Switchers are very small, low-noise, monolithic step-down DC-DC converters capable of providing up to 12.5A of output current from a 2.25V to 5.5V input supply. These devices employ Silent Switcher architecture to achieve low EMI and high efficiency at switching frequencies as high as 5MHz.

The Analog Devices Inc. LTC3311 Demonstration Boards are available in five variants:

  • The DC3018A Demonstration Board features the 12.5A LTC3311S operating as a 2MHz 3.3V to 1.2V 12.5A buck regulator
  • The DC3059A Demonstration Board features the fixed 0.85V, 12.5A LTC3311-0.85 operating as a 2MHz, 3V to 3.6V input, 0.85V/12.5A output buck regulator
  • The DC3113A Demonstration Board features the fixed 1V, 12.5A LTC3311-1 operating as a 2MHz, 3V to 3.6V input, 1V, 12.5A output buck regulator
  • The DC3127A Demonstration Board features the fixed 0.875V, 12.5A LTC3311-0.875 operating as a 2MHz, 3V to 3.6V input, 0.875V/12.5A output buck regulator
  • The DC3217A Demonstration Board features the fixed 0.75V, 12.5A LTC3311-0.75 operating as a 2MHz, 3V to 3.6V input, 0.75V at 12.5A output buck regulator

Each Demonstration Board is set up to run in forced continuous mode with a 2MHz switching frequency but can be configured to run at different switching frequencies or in pulse skip mode. The target device’s oscillator can also synchronize with an external clock using the MODE/SYNC turret with the default setup.

The Analog Devices Inc. LTC3311 Demonstration Boards feature an EMI filter to reduce conducted EMI. This EMI filter can be included by applying the input voltage at the VIN EMI terminal.
