Analog Devices Inc. AD74115 Single-Channel Configurable A/D Converters are software-configurable input and output devices built for industrial control applications. The AD74115H offers various use cases, including analog I/O, digital I/O, resistance temperature detector (RTD), and thermocouple measurement capability.
The ADI AD74115 A/D Converters utilize a serial peripheral interface (SPI) for all communications, including the HART modem available on the AD74115H. Additionally, the digital input and output are accessed via the SPI or the general-purpose input and output (GPIO) pins to deliver higher-speed data rates. The AD74115H combines a 16-bit, Σ-Δ analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a 14-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC). A high accuracy 2.5V on-chip reference on the AD74115H can be used as the DAC and ADC reference.
Using the ADP1034 companion product, power and isolation can be supplied. When using the ADP1034 and AD74115 concurrently, a programmable power control (PPC) is available on the positive analog supply, AVDD, which permits an optimized power solution in the end application. If unipolar capability is required, it can facilitate an on-chip charge pump.
