Advanced Thermal Solutions pcbCLIP Tape-on PCB Attachment System is a two-part, tape-on system that features a heat sink. This system features a rugged, flame-retardant plastic frame clip that attaches directly to the PCB, around a hot component, via the strong 3M pressure-sensitive adhesive. Once the frame clip is in place, a heat sink mounts easily to the component with the pcbCLIP’s spring clip. This stainless steel spring clip runs through the heat sink fins and snaps securely to the frame clip, and the heat sink is attached with steady, even pressure, optimizing heat flow from component to sink.
Advanced Thermal Solutions pcbCLIP system is designed to attach the ATS-64190 series of 25mm x 18.25mm aluminum heat sinks. The heat sinks feature a high aspect ratio, so the tall fins dissipate more heat in a compact footprint. Three fin heights are offered per application need and available space. All heat sinks are provided with a thermal interface material on the base to improve thermal transfer.
