Analog Devices Inc. TMCM-1617 Miniaturized Servo Drive is a low-weight, single-axis servo driver for 3-phase BLDC (Brushless DC) motors with up to 18A RMS motor current and a +24V supply. The TMCM-1617 includes CAN, RS485, and EtherCAT® communication interfaces and supports incremental encoders and digital hall sensors as position feedback.
The ADI TMCM-1617 is offered in three variants:
The ADI Motion Control Language Integrated Development Environment (TMCL-IDE) is a Graphic User Interface (GUI) for developing applications using Analog Devices Inc. modules and chips, including the TMCM-1617 Miniaturized Servo Drive. The TMCL-IDE provides tools for easily setting parameters, visualizing data in real-time, and developing and debugging stand-alone applications with TMCL.
The TMCM-1617 comes potted inside an aluminum housing with an overall size of 36.8mm x 26.8mm x 11.1mm. The module has 2x additional mounting holes for M2.5 screws to screw it to a carrier board.
The TMCM-1617 has 11x connectors: 6x low voltage and I/O connectors (J315 through J320) and 5x motor and supply connectors (J301 through J305). The black dots in the image above are pin 1 marks.
