Amphenol Piher PS2P-ARC Position Sensors

Amphenol Piher PS2P-ARC Position Sensors prevent radial and axial play on pivot joints where misalignment results in poor operational performance and labor-intensive maintenance. The PS2P-ARC’s electronics module is attached to the chassis and the magnet is attached to the rotating parts of a pivot joint (or vice versa). Without the need for gears or linkages, the PS2P-ARC sensors are easy to mount. The PS2P-ARC measures changes in position relative to the sensor by detecting the movement of a sinusoidal magnetized arc magnet located in a separate housing. This arc magnet is only sensitive to the flux density co-planar with the IC surface. PS2P-ARC sensors deliver the same precision and stability throughout their lifetime, despite extremes of vibration, shock, temperature, and contamination. As absolute sensors, the Amphenol Piher PS2P-ARC Position Sensors will not lose their values even after a power failure.
