TE Connectivity’s AMPMODU 2mm Shrouded Headers enhance the existing portfolio of 2mm breakaway headers and board-to-board receptacles that are necessary for reliable signal transfer. These shrouded headers come in a double row configuration and are available in vertical and right-angle orientations with options including both through-hole and surface mount terminations. The AMPMODU shrouded headers occupy 38% less space on a PCB than the standard 2.54mm [0.100”] centerline and this allows for extended functionality. The detent latches of these shrouded headers help to prevent unmating in vibration environments.
The AMPMODU 2mm shrouded headers provide intermateable solution with major brand receptacles with a polarization feature that favors correct mating. The housings are molded in a high-temperature thermoplastic that is resistant to reflow soldering temperatures. These headers are available in variants suitable for automated surface mounting, through-hole-reflow (pin-in-paste), and traditional through-hole mounting onto boards. Typical applications include (Programmable Logic Controllers) PLCs, servo drives, industrial control, instrumentation and test equipment, building/factory automation, and material handling.
