ams OSRAM AS7050 Medical and Health Sensor enables the user to detect biosignals such as photoplethysmogram (PPG), electrocardiogram (ECG), and galvanic skin resistance (GSR). This next-generation device is a biosignal converting unit that offers up to eight LED driver outputs, samples up to six photodiode inputs, and supports external electrodes. These features enable the highest flexibility for several LED and photodiode arrangements in different applications. The AS7050 biosignal sensor analog front-end provides two ADC channels for simultaneous PPG and ECG measurements as well as an automatic photodiode offset control. The embedded ECG analog front-end meets IEC 60601-2-47 requirements. Applications for ams OSRAM AS7050 Medical and Health Sensor include optical sensor platforms, heart-rate and ECG monitoring, smart devices, earbuds, and more.
