MaxLinear MxL83947 RS-232 Transceiver

MaxLinear MxL83947 RS-232 Transceiver is optimized for high speed with data rates up to 1Mbps and low propagation delays. This transceiver features 3 drivers/5 receivers with one complimentary receiver that alerts the monitor as an external ring indicating signal device. The MxL83947 transceiver uses an internal high-efficiency charge-pump power supply that requires only 0.1µF capacitors for the operation. This transceiver features a regulated charge pump that yields stable RS-232 outputs regardless of VCC variations and 1000kbps of the minimum transmission rate. The MxL83947 transceiver operates at 3V to 5.5V of supply voltage range and 200nA of operating supply current. This transceiver is ideally used for high-speed RS-232 applications and intended for portable or hand-held applications such as notebooks and industrial computers.
