Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP86972 Intelli-Phase™ Solution provides a monolithic half-bridge driver with built-in internal power MOSFETs and gate drivers. The device delivers 60A of continuous output current across a wide input supply range. The MP86972 implements up to 60A of drive per phase. The integrated drivers and MOSFETs produce high efficiency due to an optimal dead time and reduced parasitic inductance. The solution operates from 100kHz to 3MHz.
The MPS MP86972 facilitates a simplified system design and works with controllers with a tri-state PWM signal. It also includes an accurate current sense to monitor the inductor current and temperature sensors to report junction temperature.
The MP86972 is ideally suited for server applications where efficiency and small size are a premium. The device is available in a TLGA-35 (3mm x 6mm) package.
