Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MPQ5850 Smart Diode Controllers

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MPQ5850 Smart Diode Controllers drive an external N-channel MOSFET to replace a Schottky diode for reverse input protection. The MPQ5850 has a 20mV ultra-low dropout that minimizes power loss and enables a low minimum input voltage. This makes the MPQ5850 ideal for cold-crank conditions in automotive applications. The 4μA shutdown current is ideal for battery-powered applications, and an ultra-fast transient response meets stringent ISO16750 requirements.
