Melexis MLX92352 3-Axis Programmable Hall Effect Latch/Switches offer sensitivity to magnetic fields applied to the package’s X, Y, and Z axes. Various axes combinations of ZX, ZY, XY, XX, YY, or ZZ on the device’s open-drain outputs are possible. The MLX92352 provides ultimate configurability with a 90° phase shift for a pitch-independent magnetic design.
The Melexis MLX92352 3-axis programmable hall effect latch/switches allow PCB-less module designs without needing external passive components, saving space and total module cost for automotive and industrial applications. Furthermore, the MLX92352 withstands 15kV HBM and 8kV System ESD and delivers high EMC robustness.
The MLX92352 provides magnetic flexibility by detecting a ring magnet’s rotation speed and direction when configured as a dual magnetic latch. It can also switch on two independent magnet positions for complex position designs.
Users can benefit from the end-of-line (EoL) programming capability of the MLX92352 to trim mechanical tolerances. Programming is available with the PTC04 or EVB2.
