NXP Semiconductors NVT4558 SIM Card Interface Level Translator

NXP Semiconductor NVT4558 SIM Card Interface Level Translator interfaces host processors with operation from 1.2V to 1.8V and SIM cards from 1.8V to 3.6V. Integrated ESD circuitry protects all pins (on the card side) up to 8kV of contact ESD defined by IEC 61000-4-2, and integrated EMI filter circuitry suppresses higher harmonics of digital I/Os. Applications include cell phones, notebooks, tablets, and other portable electronic devices with a cellular connection.

  • Enable/disable through the hardware enable pin or with the automatic enable/disable feature
  • Integrated pull-up and pull-down resistors
  • Integrated EMI filters suppress higher harmonics of the digital I/Os
  • Integrated 8kV ESD protection according to IEC 61000-4-2, level 4 on VCCB or any of the card side pins
  • Level-shifting buffers keep ESD stress away from the host (zero-clamping concept)
  • 1.4mm x 1.8mm, 10-pin XQFN10 package with a 0.4mm pitch
  • Wave and reflow solderable
  • Pb-free, Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant, and free of halogen and antimony (Dark Green compliant)
