TE Connectivity’s Mini Cool Edge IO (MCIO) 85Ohm X8 X16 vertical receptacles enable building block architectures in system design to connect different functionality PCBs. These vertical receptacles feature MCIO as the internal I/O connector type and this connector mates with the cable plug assembly. The MCIO receptacles offer SlimSAS, SlimSAS Low Profile (LP), connectors, cable assemblies for SAS, PCIe Gen4/Gen5 servers, and storage applications. These MCIO receptacles support PCIe5 (32Gbps) and SAS4 (24Gbps). The MCIO 85Ω X8 X16 vertical receptacle provides straight, right-angle, and lateral exit cable options for custom routing, and the full portfolio enables hybrid-style cable assemblies.
These vertical receptacles feature multiple cable exits for route-ability and replace PCB trace and connector interfaces for a higher-performing channel. The MCIO 85Ω X8 X16 vertical receptacles operate at -55°C to 85°C temperature range and 1.1A current rating. These vertical receptacles are ideally used to connect the inner server and CPU to the backplane.
