Mill-Max 0.050″ Pitch, Miniature Spring-Loaded Contacts include compact pins and connectors designed for 0.050″ pitch applications. The pins: the SMT and through-hole versions each feature an above-board height of just 0.166 inches and a full-stroke capability of 0.040 inches. These spring-loaded pins are crafted with precision-machined components and stainless-steel springs, all meticulously gold-plated to guarantee optimal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and long-term endurance. The pins boast a minimum durability of 100,000 cycles at half-stroke, consistently meeting electrical and mechanical specifications. Electrically, these pins are characterized by a contact resistance of under 20mΩ and a maximum current rating of 7A at a 30°C temperature rise. The pins also fulfill the shock and vibration requirements of IEC standards 60512-6-3 and 60512-6-4.
The connectors come with 0.050″ pin-to-pin spacing, offering both surface mount and through-hole configurations, and exhibit a low above-board height of 0.166″. The connector insulator material is made of high-temperature, durable nylon that ensures compatibility with various soldering processes. When paired with Mill-Max 856 or 857 series target connectors, board-to-board heights as low as 0.236″ can be accomplished at mid-stroke compression. These target connectors are available in surface mount, through-hole, right-angle, and wire termination styles, offering versatile solutions for a wide range of interconnect applications.
