onsemi NIS6351 5V Electronic Fuses

onsemi NIS6351 5V Electronic Fuses are cost-effective and resettable fuses that enhance the reliability of a USB application from catastrophic and shutdown failures. These fuses are designed to buffer the load device from an excessive input voltage which can damage the sensitive circuits. The NIS6351 fuses protect the input side circuitry from reverse currents. These fuses come with an overvoltage clamp circuit that limits the output voltage during transients but does not shut the unit down. The NIS6351 fuses offer integrated current monitoring, latching and auto-retry options, and a digital Enable pin with separate FLAG for fault identification. Typical applications include automotive infotainment, USB 2.0/3.0/3.1 VBUS, USB Type-C PD charging, Solid State Drives (SSDs), and motherboards.
