Hammond Manufacturing Chokes feature classic products designed for low, medium, and heavy currents. This wide range of DC reactors and filter chokes are available in a variety of styles, including enclosed, potted, channel mount, and bracket mount. These RoHS-compliant chokes offer a tolerance of 15% for both inductance and resistance, and the inductances measured at the rated DC current.
The Hammond 153-159 Series is ideal for low to medium current applications and includes cost-effective, open-bracket (channel-mount) modules with minimum 5″ long leads. The 153-159 Series is hipot tested (100%) at 1500VAC.
The 193 Series features enclosed and potted chassis-mount chokes with minimum 8″ long leads. These chokes feature a +105°C insulation class and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +65°C.
Both the 153-159 and the 193 series are ideal for high voltage power supply filtering and exhibit less inductance at slightly higher currents or more inductance at lower currents. Both series of chokes are vacuum impregnated with polyurethane varnish for a long life and quiet operation.
The 195-196 Series includes single-coil chokes and dual-coil chokes for more versatility. These devices are hipot tested at 2500VAC and have a 600VAC recommended maximum operating voltage (winding to core). The 195-196 Series from Hammond Manufacturing is ideal for high current power supply filtering.
