Qorvo ACT43750 Power Management ICs (PMICs)

Qorvo ACT43750 Power Management IC (PMIC) is a highly integrated drain switch and negative gate voltage regulator PMIC designed to enable ultra-fast RF GaN PA drain switching. By automating gate voltage bias sequencing, autocalibration, and dynamic bias recalibration, the module simplifies system manufacturing while reducing the effects of temperature and device aging on RF performance. Qorvo ACT43750 PMIC can be integrated as part of a compact, three-stage power solution for phased array commercial and defense radar. The three-chip solution offers configurable GaN bias point autocalibration to maximize system performance for different GaN power amplifiers (PAs) without changing the board design. The chipset optimizes pulsed-energy storage capacitors in a phased array system to reduce capacitance by up to 90%. The innovative architecture results in a significantly smaller footprint, reduced weight, and lower overall operating costs.
