pSemi EK44820-02 Evaluation Kit is a demonstration and development platform for the PE44820 UltraCMOS® RF Digital Phase Shifter (DPS). The PE44820 DPS features a 358.6° phase shift in 1.4° steps and contains a 1.4° phase accuracy optimization bit used to optimize the phase accuracy across any given phase state. PE44820 provides a flexible CMOS control interface that supports parallel and serial programming modes and includes an optional VSS feature.
The EK44820-02 Evaluation Kit includes an Evaluation Board (EVB), a USB Interface Board, and a USB cable. The EVB includes a pre-mounted PE44820 DPS, mechanical switches, headers, and SMA connectors. The switches are used for parallel or serial mode selection and for setting the control bits in direct-parallel programming mode. The headers allow connection to the USB Interface Board and an external power supply. The SMA connectors enable RF performance verification and board loss calibration.
The USB Interface Board allows connection to a PC, where a GUI (Graphic User Interface) can be used to demonstrate the characteristics of the PE44820 DPS.
