Texas Instruments TLV3604EVM Comparator Evaluation Module (EVM)

Texas Instruments TLV3604EVM Comparator Evaluation Module (EVM) is designed to evaluate the high-speed TLV3604 comparator. The TLV3604EVM has layout options intended to make it simple to evaluate the timing performance with different measurement tools. The output of the Texas instruments TLV3604 is designed for low voltage differential signals (LVDS), which provide high-speed signals to interconnect devices such as FPGAs with minimal power dissipation.

Evaluate comparator solution with < 1ns propagation delay
Ability to measure LVDS output with multiple measurement methods

+2.4V to +5.5V (single supply only) supply range
(Vee -200mV) to (VCCI/VCCO + 200mV) input common-mode range

Required Equipment

Power supply
High-speed oscilloscope with 50Ω terminations
- Differential probes with built-in 100Ω terminations can be used to terminate the output properly
High-speed functional generator with dual outputs
- Fast rise/fall time recommended (≤ 500ps)
SMA Cables/adapters
- Be sure to have matched length cables for IN+, IN-, IN+SENSE, IN-SENSE, OUTP, and OUTN
