Microchip Technology PIC24F LCD Curiosity Development Board (DM240017)

Microchip Technology PIC24F LCD Curiosity Development Board (DM240017) is a fully integrated development platform based on the PIC24F Microcontroller with an integrated LCD controller. The DM240017 facilitates exploration of the segmented LCD interface and various features of the low power PIC24F MCU. Designed from the ground-up to take full advantage of the Microchip MPLAB® X IDE and MPLAB Code Configurator (MCC), this Development Board includes an integrated programmer/debugger and requires no additional hardware, simplifying the prototyping process.

The PIC24F LCD Curiosity Development Board is an ideal platform to harness the power of the PIC24F MCU. The layout and external connections of the Board offer unparalleled access to the Core Independent Peripherals (CIPs). The on-chip CIPs enable the integration of various system functions onto a single MCU, simplifying the design and keeping system power consumption and BOM cost low.

The DM240017 allows users to explore the power-saving modes and measure the device current. They can seamlessly drive the segmented LCD glass in power-saving modes, enabling you to reduce power consumption. With the new LCD core independent animation feature, users can visualize display animations come to life while the MCU is in a power-saving mode. The board also facilitates the exploration of the VBAT function with a secondary coin cell battery.

Security can easily be included in IoT designs using the on-chip complementary secure protection features like Flash OTP by ICSP™ Write Inhibit and CodeGuard™ flash protection scheme, and Secure 4 clickboard™ featuring the ATECC608 CryptoAuthentication™ chip.
