Analog Devices Inc. MAX31328 Shield is a fully assembled and tested PCB designed to provide an evaluation platform for the MAX31328. The MAX31328 is a low-cost, extremely accurate, I2C Real-Time Clock (RTC) with an integrated temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) and crystal. The device incorporates a battery input and maintains accurate timekeeping when the main power to the device is interrupted. The integration of the crystal resonator enhances the long-term accuracy of the device and eliminates the external crystal requirement in the system.
The MAX31328 Shield features a pre-mounted MAX31328 RTC. The MAX31328 Shield also includes a MAX32625PICO Evaluation Board, which connects to a PC via a USB cable. A Software Graphic User Interface (GUI) can then be used to access the registers and configure the MAX31328. The target device is accessed through an I2C serial interface provided by the MAX32625PICO Board. The Shield operates from a single supply, either from USB or from an external power supply.
The Maxim Integrated MAX31328 Shield also includes Arduino-compatible headers for expansion.
The MAX31328 Shield Software provides complete access to all hardware registers, using an easy-to-use Graphic User Interface (GUI). An ODB PCB design file is also available for download from Maxim Integrated.
