DFRobot RS232 Connector Expansion Shield is designed to expand one RS232 port (D-sub, 9-pin, male) with high reliability for LattePanda Alpha and LattePanda Delta. This shield employs FTDI USB to serial port chip and features an industrial-grade isolated transceiver module. The RS482 connector expansion shield also features signal isolation, power isolation, lightning and surge protection, transient impulse voltage resistance, and bus protection. The bus protection supports reliable data transmission and can effectively protect the LattePanda mainboard for providing a high-reliability connection for point-to-point. This shield employs a stackable connection that allows it to be easily fixed onto the LattePanda mainboard by copper columns without blocking the heat dissipation area of the mainboard. This can be safely applied in industrial scenarios.
The RS482 connector expansion shield offers reliable transmission and up to a 115200bps communication baud rate. This expansion shield operates at 5V and -40℃ to 85℃ temperature range. The RS485 connector expansion shield facilitates the development and use of industrial-grade RS232 communication on Windows® (compatible with Linux).
