Silex Technology BR-500AC Ethernet to Wi-Fi Bridge securely, reliably, and efficiently connects any Ethernet device to the wireless network enabled by recent Wi-Fi access points. This module complies with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wave2 2×2 MU-MIMO, supporting WPA3/WPA2 and IEEE802.1x enterprise Wi-Fi security. The BR-500AC module supports roaming among Wi-Fi access points to ensure a robust wireless connection for mobility applications. The office automation equipment like printers, factory equipment, or medical equipment can be unleashed from the Ethernet cable to install more flexibly.
The BR-500AC supports two connection topologies that include a single client mode and a multi-client mode. The BR-500AC module seamlessly bridges an Ethernet device to 802.11ac wave2 wireless network in the single client mode. This device can also bridge up to 16 Ethernet devices connected through a network hub to the wireless network.
The BR-500AC module provides the latest Wi-Fi WPA security, WPA3, in conjunction with 802.1X authentication to offer WPA3-Enterprise wireless network security. For users who need PSK authentication, the BR-500AC module also supports WPA3-Personal with the SAE method.
The BR-500AC module supports fast-roaming to add not only wireless connectivity but also mobility to an Ethernet device. This module is the perfect solution for a medical cart and mobile workstation.
The BR-500AC module with MU-MIMO capable access point improves the Wi-Fi network efficiency by utilizing spatial streaming to access multiple MU-MIMO stations concurrently. This module also supports WME to prioritize the Ethernet device’s packets to the Wi-Fi network for QoS.
