Texas Instruments TPS7H4003EVM Converter Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments TPS7H4003EVM Converter Evaluation Module (EVM) demonstrates how the TPS7H4003-SEP buck converter can provide a regulated power rail capable of load current up to 18A. The TPS7H4003 can be used to support typical application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) and field-programmable gate array (FPGA) applications. The evaluation module is configured in a default state to accept a 5V input. Still, it can be modified to disable or change the under-voltage lockout (UVLO) protection, allowing for any input voltage from 3V to 7V. The Texas Instruments TPS7H4003EVM is configured for a 1V output at a maximum peak output current of 18A. Again, the regulated output voltage can be modified by changing one resistor on the board.

Features

  • Radiation-tolerant, 18A, point-of-load (POL) buck converter for space applications
  • 3V to 7V input range
  • Output up to 18A at 1V
  • Low-output voltage ripple
