ams OSRAM Mira220 Associated Boards

ams OSRAM Mira220 Associated Boards are designed to explore the Mira220 2.2 MP NIR enhanced global shutter image sensor. The Mira220 sensor is built for 2D and 3D consumer and industrial machine vision applications. The sensor offers a small 2.79µm pixel size with high sensitivity made possible by state-of-the-art BSI technology. The device delivers an effective resolution of 1600 x 1400 and a maximum bit depth of 12 bits, supporting on-chip operations such as external triggering, windowing, and horizontal or vertical mirroring.

Due to its small size, high sensitivity, and configurability in visual and NIR, the Mira220 is well-suited for 2D and 3D applications, including active stereo vision and structured light vision for robotics and AR/VR. High sensitivity in NIR enables increased measurement range and overall system power consumption optimization, which is vital for battery-powered consumer and industrial applications.

  • High NIR sensitivity enables the use of lower-power LEDs in near-infrared
  • High frame rate 90fps at 2.2MP and 12-bit ADC operation
  • Stacked image sensor where the pixel layer and logic layer are stacked, indicating the ratio of active pixel area to passive area is high compared to competitors
