Microchip Technology SAM G55 Audio Curiosity Board (EV78Y10A) is a demonstration and development platform for audio applications based on the SAM G55 Microcontrollers. The SAM G55 MCUs are high-performance, low-power devices based on the 320bit Arm® Cortex®-M4 RISC processor with FPU (Floating Point Unit). The SAM G55 MCUs operate at a maximum speed of 120MHz and feature 512Kbytes of Flash and up to 176Kbytes of SRAM. The peripheral set includes eight flexible communication units comprising USARTs, SPIs and I2C-bus interfaces (TWIs), two 16-bit timers, two I2S controllers, one 8-channel 12-bit ADC, one real-time timer (RTT), and one real-time clock (RTC).
The Microchip Technology SAM G55 Audio Curiosity Board features a pre-installed ATSAMG55J19 MCU in an LQFP-64 package. The Audio Curiosity Board includes an integrated programmer and debugger (EDBG), eliminating the need for additional hardware. Users can easily expand functionality through the MikroElectronika mikroBUS™ Click™ Adapter Boards and add Wi-Fi® connectivity using Xplained Pro Extension Boards. Audio input and output capability can be added using Microchip Audio Daughter Boards via the X32 interface.
