Texas Instruments ISOUSB111DWXEVM Evaluation Module (EVM) is used to evaluate the high-performance, 5000VRMS reinforced isolated USB repeater in 16-pin SSOP (DWZ-16) package. The evaluation module features test points and jumper options to enable the evaluation with minimal external components. These test points allow a user to evaluate the ISOUSB111DWX device thoroughly before incorporating the device into the user’s design. To facilitate the evaluation module to be powered from various power sources, including regulated power supplies, standard USB 2.0 receptacles, and standard DC adapter, the evaluation module includes a transformer driver (SN6501), a transformer (CMP-0030614-1), and three adjustable output LDOs (TPS76701 and TPS73701).
The Texas Instruments ISOUSB111DWXEVM can be configured to use the provided LDOs to power the 3.3V power supplies or bypass these external LDOs and use the internal LDOs. The evaluation module can be changed to operate with or without external LDOs and test configurations. The evaluation module can verify many ISOUSB111DWX data sheet parameters like data rate, current consumption, etc. Some specifications require a different test setup configuration than the ISOUSB111DWXEVM; hence, specifications are not able to be verified from the evaluation module.
