Texas Instruments OPT4048DTS Evaluation Module (EVM)

Texas Instruments OPT4048DTS Evaluation Module (EVM) is designed to evaluate the performance of the OPT4048 color sensor in the DTS package. This OPT4048 sensor is a high-speed, high-precision, tristimulus XYZ color sensor, and can be used in various lighting conditions as well as behind various cover materials. The OPT4048DTS evaluation module consists of two PCBs, the OPTMBEVM motherboard and the OPT4048 coupon board. The OPTMBEVM motherboard contains a USB interface to communicate with the computer and a socket for plugging in a coupon board and an MSP430 microprocessor. This motherboard also provides power and sends/receives appropriate digital signals between the light sensor and the PC. The OPT4048 coupon board contains the OPT4048 sensor and a decoupling capacitor that plugs into the motherboard allowing quick evaluation using TI’s software.
