Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) Power Bank Solution Module Evaluation Boards include the MEZS7-1S-4SPDCharger and the MEZS7-1S-4SPDPowerBank. The modules are fully integrated buck-boost chargers for 1-cell to 4-cell in series battery packs.
The MPS Power Bank Solution Module Evaluation Boards are designed for the MP2760 and CCG3PA, supporting PD3.0 and BC1.2 protocols. The MP2760 buck-boost charger supplies a wide 3V to 21V voltage range at the IN pin in source mode. The Cypress CCG3PA PD controller handles PD protocol. These evaluation boards feature a DRP Type-C port. When an adapter is inserted, the port acts as a UFP to charge the battery with a maximum 5A charge current. Furthermore, when a load is inserted, the port works as a DFP to power the USB from the battery.
The MEZS7-1S-4SPDCharger board supports narrow-voltage DC (NVDC) power path management. The board is ideal for portable applications, such as tablets, MIDs, and smartphones. The module’s low-impedance power path optimizes efficiency, reduces battery charging time, and extends battery life.
The MPS Power Bank Solution Module Evaluation Boards utilize the MP2651 and CCG3PA, supporting PD3.0 and BC1.2 protocols. The MP2651 buck-boost charger supplies a wide 3V to 21V voltage range at the IN pin in source mode. The Cypress CCG3PA PD controller handles the PD protocol. These boards include a DRP USB Type-C™ port. When an adapter is inserted, the port acts as a UFP to charge the battery with a maximum 5A charge current. Additionally, when a load is inserted, the port functions as a DFP to power the USB from the battery.
