Espressif Systems ESP32-PICO-KIT-1 Development Board

Espressif Systems ESP32-PICO-KIT-1 Development Board is based on the ESP32-PICO-V3 System-in-Package (SiP) module with complete Wi-Fi and BLUETOOTH® functionalities. Enabling the exploration of the ESP32 performance, this board features a USB-to-UART Bridge circuit that allows developers to connect the board to a computer’s USB port for flashing and debugging.

Features

  • Standard ESP32-PICO-V3 module soldered to the ESP32-PICO-KIT-1 board. The complete ESP32 system on a chip (ESP32 SoC) has been integrated into the SiP module, requiring only an external antenna with a matching LC network, decoupling capacitors, and a pull-up resistor for EN signals to function properly.
  • 3.3V to 5V low dropout voltage regulator (LDO)
  • CP2102N, single-chip USB-to-UART bridge that offers up to 3Mbps transfers rates
  • USB interface for the power supply of the board as well as the communication interface between a computer and the board
  • 5V power-on LED, red LED that turns on when power is supplied to the board
  • All the pins on ESP32-PICO-V3 are broken out into pin headers. Users can program the ESP32 to enable multiple functions, such as PWM, ADC, DAC, I2C, I2S, SPI, etc.
  • BOOT button, holding down BOOT and then pressing EN initiates Firmware Download mode for downloading firmware through the serial port
  • RESET button (EN button)

Required Equipment

  • 1x ESP32-PICO-KIT-1
  • 1x USB 2.0 A-to-Micro B cable
  • 1x computer running Windows, Linux, or macOS
