MaxLinear MxL83411 Evaluation Kits are designed to evaluate the features and performance of the MxL83411 quad RS-485/422 receivers. These evaluation kits are pre-configured for global enable with RE=Vcc and REb=GND, where all four receiver outputs are enabled simultaneously. Typical applications include industrial and process control equipment, level translators, telecommunication equipment, high-performance motor drives, smart grid, and industrial transport.
Pre-configured for global enable with RE=Vcc and REb=GND, where all four receiver outputs are enabled simultaneously. Apply Vcc=5.0V bench power supply to header J1 at pin 2 (J1.2) or pin 3 (J1.3). Apply GND connection to J1 at pin 1 (J1.1). J14 and J16 are GND probe points on the evaluation kit. When the power Vcc is applied at header J1, the LED at location D1 is ON. Screw terminal blocks J5, J30, J26, and J18 are inputs to receiver channel 1, channel 2, channel 3, and channel 4, respectively. Apply differential signals at J5, J30, J26, and J18. Monitor receiver outputs at J7, J10, J23, and J20.
