Amphenol Piher SSH Speed Sensors offer a 4VDC to 24VDC operating voltage range, IP67 sealing, and a -40°C to +125°C operating temperature range. These sensors are designed to calculate the speed and direction of ferrous gears in demanding environments like vehicle transmissions. SSH speed sensors are resistant to moist and high-vibration environments, feature ESD protection, and are fast and near-zero speed sensing capable. The Hall-effect sensor measures the variation in flux found in the air gap between the passing teeth and the magnet. Amphenol Piher SSH Speed Sensors are suitable for engine speed, anti-lock braking systems, wheel speed and direction, and pump speed feedback.
