Allegro MicroSystems ACS37600 Hall-Based Linear Sensors are linear sensor ICs designed to be used with a ferromagnetic core to provide a highly accurate current sensor solution suitable for industrial, commercial, and communications applications. These devices consist of a precise, low-offset, chopper-stabilized Hall-effect front end. Magnetic flux is orthogonal to the IC package surface and is sensed by the integrated Hall and converted into a proportional voltage. A wide sensitivity range allows current sensor module makers to use these ICs for <20A or >1000A modules.
A selectable bandwidth from 100kHz to >400kHz makes the devices ideal for fast-switching applications and applications where low noise is required. A user-programmable, bidirectional reference voltage pin (VREF) enables constant monitoring of the zero-current voltage and easy interfacing with 3.3V and 5V ADCs. The sensitivity and offset drift over temperature are factory-programmed at Allegro to provide a highly accurate solution across the full temperature range.
Allegro MicroSystems ACS37600 sensors are user programmable. The absolute value of sensitivity and offset can be programmed after manufacturing, and users can program the sensitivity over temperature to compensate for ferromagnetic core drifts. The ACS37600 components are ideal for applications requiring reliability and robustness.
